Semionowicz Vladimir Vysotsky was born on 25th January 1938 in Moscow. Mother - Nina Maksymowna Wysocka (b. 1912) was educated as a translator from German, while his father - Semion Vladimirovich Wysocky (born 1915) was a colonel in the Red Army.
